The artworks I design honor the relationship between a site and its community. My work has been commissioned by First & Goal Inc and Washington State Stadium Authority (Stadium Suite), City of Kent Arts Commission (Daily Migration), Harborview Medical Center (Healing Shelters), Seattle Center (Moon Bear) and One Reel (Bumbershoot Poster). My first permanent installation was sited at the Crocodile Cafe.

When working on a project, I merge studio techniques with the methodology of place-making. I begin by studying the site and listening to participants. Rather than overlay my ideas onto a situation, I allow my ideas to arise organically. My skill-set is flexible: I can offer both surface treatments and sculptural forms; I am fluent in both hand-crafted and digital techniques; I create individual work and can also collaborate with a design team; I work in a variety of materials. 

My studio work has been exhibited at the King County Art Gallery, Spokane Arts Commission Chase Gallery, Kirkland Arts Center and Auburn City Hall Gallery. My paintings and sculpture have been included in group shows at the Bellevue Art Museum, CoCA, the Seattle Art Museum Rental/Sales Gallery and Bumbershoot.

Community involvement is a priority. Currently, I am leading a project titled Grass Routes: an evening arts festival. This event will take place in Seattle on Friday, July 21. Please visit www.grassroutesarts.org for more information.
